For decades, left wing Progressive values have been promoted in Israel. Values that are big on being universal but sparing on the particular. The Jewish people, though, have survived for 3500 years and 2000 years of exile because of our particularity through our attachment to the Jewish Land of Israel, Torah and Tanach.
Left wing Progressives, now the opposition in Israel, have protested “judicial reform” for 4 months. They claim that Israelis are united against judicial reform. The Main Stream Media went out of its way to promote those views.
To add insult to injury, in Israel a newspaper, Haaretz, referred to the Israeli flag as the national flag of THE RIGHT WING. How divisive is that?

Now, the real Israel has spoken. Hundreds of thousands of Jews have stood up for Israel, the Light Unto the Nations at the “March of the Million” April 27, 2023.The majority stands with judicial reform, returning Israel to the Supreme Court Yitro suggested to Moses.
I suggest the issue dividing the Jewish people, today, in Eretz Yisrael is not really about Judicial Reform, but a battle between the present day Jeremiah and Korach: The loyal Israelis, the patriots, who want to preserve Eretz Israel for the Jewish People under PM Benjamin Netanyau, and the insurgents, who have been misguided by the opposition led by Yair Lapid and Barak Olmert, pushing a Globalist concept of Israel.
From the moment God spoke to Moses and gave him the ethic of freedom, based on rights and responsibilities, the Jews have been attacked, beginning with Amalek who attacked the weakest amongst the Jews fleeing Egypt. While in exile for 2000 years the Jews were forever attacked: physically, spiritually and emotionally. For the past 75 years, since the rebirth of Israel, on her legal and historical land, we Jews have been attacked and denounced more than any other modern nation. The United Nations, which admitted Israel into the community of nations May 1, 1949, has no love for the only Jewish state in the world and the only democracy in the Middle East and North Africa.
Israel is the pariah state of the world. We should be expending our energy protecting and defending the Jewish state from the external, never-ending attacks.
Sadly, though, just has there has been an Amalek in every generation, an external enemy, we Jews have had to face internal enemies, beginning with Korach: First cousin of Moses and Aaron. Out of jealousy, Korach led a revolt against Moses and Aaron, claiming that the priesthood should not belong exclusively to Aaron and his descendants. He and his followers were swallowed up by the ground. Calamity is the result of rebellion against God.
Thankfully, though, the Jewish people are always blessed with a Jeremiah, a leader who reminds us to mend our ways, to return to God. The past few months it seemed that Korach would win, but Jeremiah is here, with us. Hundreds of thousands of Jews have stood up for Israel, the Light Unto the Nations.
As the Marchers declared: “Stop being afraid.”
