So my part time neighbours have had their Covid vaccine. They asked me if I had mine. Didn’t ask me about my children or grandchildren – just the vaccine. As if it were any of their business. The long and the short of it, I got yelled at and told I was the cause of the lockdowns because I have not had my vaccine. Hmmm. They are vaccinated, and still afraid? When we vaccinated our children against measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus and polio, we didn’t worry. If others around them had not been vaccinated, we were safe. So what happened? Does that mean the vaccine doesn’t work?
More importantly, why are people asking this question? What business is it of theirs? I will answer. They have taken in the propaganda sent out by the government that comes to us 24/7 via the media. The news hour is filled with Covid Covid, Covid. As if nothing else is happening in our world or country or community. Just Covid. And the media is doing a magnificent job of spreading fear promoted by our governments.These people are today’s brownshirts, sanctimonious, self-serving self-righteous people doing the government’s job – bullying people into submission. I hate to say this for the umpteenth time:

And look how easy it is to stroll down that road. Hardly any force applied. Actually, none. Just making people feel superior to others can do it. People in positions of power, past and present, have effectively used fear to control certain aspects of society. When one is gripped by fear of a threat, real or imagined, their rational and higher cognitive capacities shut down, making them easily manipulable by anyone that promises safety from the threat.
It pains me when talking about our response to Covid to always refer to what happened in Germany in the 1930’s. Germany was one of the most enlightened nations in the world. And yet, they were convinced that the Jews were the cause of all their problems. They heard it through the media, in government, at school, from their neighbours. Everywhere.
I am reading the book Sons and Soldiers by Bruce Henderson about Jews who fled Germany to America in the 1930’s; well, their families were able to get one child out so they would send the oldest son hoping at some point that son could bring the others over. (My dad came from Poland because his older brother was here and was able to get him out). These men then joined the armed forces to fight during the war. One of the men looking back on his past remembered it fondly, at first. There were few Jews in his town but he was friends with everyone. Then came the propaganda and slowly but surely his friends-who knew him well, turned on him. Because the government said so. It took so little before stores were destroyed and books were burned.
So you badger family friends and neighbours to do what the government says. And when the government says, hey, let’s track people who have had the vaccine and take away the freedom from those who don’t with a Covid Passport, well there you are standing with them promoting more and more restrictive laws.

These people are in favour of the Covid Passport. Really? So they are okay with the government knowing everything about you? Where you go, where you shop. Of course! Can’t be too safe, can you? Not too concerned about the lack of freedom their children and grandchildren will have. Then again, I guess younger people are so attached to their phones that it does not dawn on them that they are being tracked and/or they don’t care. When they do care, it will be too late. “Constant vigilance is the price of freedom.” They are not prepared to pay that price.

So I asked the neighbours about the flu shot. Well of course they get it every year. I don’t. I haven’t had the flu in 20 years. I did get sick the one time I took a flu shot. So I asked, should people be forced to take the flu shot. Yes! And we all know that we headed toward Covid boosters-and if you don’t know you should be ashamed of yourself. They think it’s a great idea to have a mandatory Covid/flu booster. And they believe that people who don’t get that booster should be denied freedom of movement. I hear things like that and all I can think of doing is saying Heil Hitler while smacking my heels together in obedience perhaps because I have studied Hitler and Nazism and Jew hatred for so long that I can smell fascism a mile away. But people will think I refer to Hitler too often. Yet, that is what is going on here. Government getting a tad too involved in our private lives:

Now, this same couple who lectures me about being the cause of the lockdown have a home in another area. This is their summer place. But they are here during a lockdown/stay at home order. They came out here during a stay-at-home order. Go figure.
I always tell people who are afraid of Covid to stay home. They are safe, there. Why should I stay home if I am not afraid?
The Passport will not be something for a short period of time during an emergency. This Passport will be part of our lives going forward. Anytime something happens and the government believes we need to say home they will enforce Passports which you already have. Like income tax, nothing is temporary-except freedom.
Fighting for your own freedom is selfish. Fighting for the freedoms of others is righteous.
Where have all the righteous gone?
