Did God save Donald Trump so he could usher in the Third Temple?
The Kotel, the famous Western Wall that is a central Jewish holy site, is what remains of just a piece of the western side of the retaining wall built around the Temple Mount. Parts of the four walls surrounding the Temple Mount date back to the time of the Second Jewish Temple, in the first century BCE. The walls were built around the summit of Mount Moriah. Biblically, this is where Abraham offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice. Note the Mosque ON TOP of the Temple Mount.
“The time shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see My Glory… And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations for an offering to God upon horses, and in chariots… to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says God, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel to the house of God. And I will also take of them for Kohanim(Priests) and for Levites, says God” (Isaiah 66:18-21).
On July 13, 2024, there was an attempted assassination of Donald J Trump. In the midst of a speech, he turned his head slightly, and in that second, a bullet meant to hit him between the eyes, by the grace of God, only grazed his ear. The Secret Service jumped on top of him and took him to the ground. Then Mr. Trump rose up with his fist in the air shouting Fight, Fight, Fight.
Why did God save Donald Trump?
I believe God has chosen Donald Trump, now the President in waiting, to set the table for the building of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount in Israel. God watched as Trump ushered in the Abraham Accords, move the American Embassy to Jerusalem, state the Golan Heights belong to Israel and his maximum pressure campaign against Iran. And now God is watching as Trump vows to end Jew hatred on campus and in America.
God watched as Trump lost the 2020 election, and Trump’s reaction to it. Fight, Fight, Fight! And so God protected Trump.
The First Temple, built in Jerusalem, by King Solomon in approximately 1000 BCE, was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE. When the Persians conquered the Babylonians almost a century later, they agreed to let the Jewish leaders who had been taken into exile return to the land of Israel where they would rebuild the Temple. This Second Temple stood for hundreds more years, then was thoroughly renovated and expanded by Herod the Great in the last few decades before the beginning of the Common Era. The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE.
The great Jewish philosopher, Maimonides, teaches that the Temple will be built by Messiah himself, and in fact its construction will be one of the signs that he is indeed the Messiah. One of the Messiah’s first orders of business will be to use his spirit of prophecy to discern who is a priest, as well as the tribal affiliation of each Israelite. Additionally, we will have the ashes of the red heifer to purify those who are impure. Others are of the opinion that in the messianic era, the Temple will descend ready – built from heaven.
But there is another view that has been brought forward since the Israeli cabinet’s “open defiance” to the US State Department’s commitment to establishing a Palestinian state.
A well-known statement by the Talmudic sage Shmuel, later codified by Maimonides, states:
“The sole difference between this world and the days of the Messiah is subjugation to foreign kings’ (Talmud Bavli Shabbat 151b)”
“While a public disagreement with the United States is always concerning in the short term, Israel’s defiance is encouraging,” Rabbi Wolicki wrote, citing the passage from the Talmud quoted above. “The Jewish people may be living in their land, but if they are dominated or controlled by other nations, they are not truly free and remain in ‘exile.’ By this measure, yielding to US pressure and altering the course of the conflict in a manner favorable to Israel’s enemies would prolong the Jewish people’s exile, perpetuate their subjugation to foreign powers, and delay the arrival of the Messiah. But if Israel can stand strong and continue to defy the United States, this moment of defiance will mark a new stage in the redemption of the world.”
While Israel refuses to bend the knee to America under Biden, the election of Donald J. Trump to be the 47th President changes everything. There will be no need to bend the knee. Donald J Trump, the most Jewish loving President, has chosen the most Jewish-loving, Israel-loving cabinet in history. And why not? When you support Israel you support the values of the Hebrew Bible – the values that underpin freedom and western culture.
Trump is saved, twice, by God. Look at the people he has brought to the table to lead with him.
Pete Hegseth, who happens to believe in building the Third Temple.
In 2018 Hegseth stated in Jerusalem:
“I don’t know how it would happen. You don’t know how it would happen, but I know that it could happen.”
Vice president-elect JD Vance, a Catholic, explained US support for Israel as follows:
“A majority of citizens of this country think that their savior – and I count myself a Christian – was born, died, and resurrected in that narrow little strip of territory off the Mediterranean. The idea that there is ever going to be an American foreign policy that doesn’t care a lot about that slice of the world is preposterous.” On another recent occasion, Vance described the US-Israel relationship as “an expression of deeper things, of cultural affinity, and shared heritage and values.”
He also appeared to endorse extending Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria, which the president-elect once floated as part of his peace plan with the Palestinians but which was never realized.
“A step in that process, a step in every process, is a recognition that facts and activities on the ground truly matter. That’s why going and visiting Judea and Samaria and understanding that sovereignty—the very sovereignty of Israeli soil, Israeli cities, locations—is a critical next step to showing the world that this is the land for Jews and the Land of Israel.”
Let me introduce you to the future United States Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, who in 2008 said, “There really is no such thing as a Palestinian.” “I think Israel has title deed to Judea and Samaria,” Huckabee said during a trip to Israel in 2017 (he says he’s been more than 100 times since 1973).
“There are certain words I refuse to use. There is no such thing as a West Bank. It’s Judea and Samaria. There’s no such thing as a settlement. They’re communities, they’re neighborhoods, they’re cities. There’s no such thing as an occupation.”
Huckabee also stated:
“There is no explanation for Israel, nor is there an explanation for the United States, apart from the intervention of God. I don’t see how anyone with a semblance of intelligence can see the miracle of Israel or, for that matter, the miracle of the United States, and come to any other conclusion [than] that this is not just man’s doing, this is God’s doing.”
Pam Bondi, nominated for Attorney General, expressed concern about antisemitism, particularly on college campuses in an October 2023 appearance on Newsmax, She urged that those in the U.S. on visas participating in pro-Hamas rallies be deported, and U.S. citizens face FBI investigation. Former Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL), who is Jewish, expressed high praise for Bondi despite their political differences, “when it comes to the interests of the Jewish community and having an attorney general that will fight for the protection of the Jewish community, we could not do better than Pam Bondi.”
Mike Waltz, whom President-elect Donald Trump nominated to serve as National Security Adviser has stated that the International Criminal Court, which issued the warrants against Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, “has no credibility, and these allegations have been refuted by the U.S. government.”
Elise Stefanik, Donald Trump’s UN ambassador nominee stands with Israel.“We know that the UN is a den of antisemitism,” Stefanik said in her address. She accused the organization of betraying both Israel and the United States, particularly since Hamas’ October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks against Israel.
In the words of Deuteronomy 30:
“Even if you are scattered to the ends of the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and take you. He will bring you back to the land that your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will make you more numerous and more prosperous than your forefathers.”
Trump has been saved at least twice by God. The table is now set. Are the Jewish people ready to come to that table and rebuild the Temple for all human kind?
The Third Temple is not just for the Jews but for all peoples.
“Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to God, to serve him, and to love the Name of God, to be his servants, every one that keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it, and all that take hold of My covenant. Even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer, their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:6-7).
From the Ethics of the Fathers: “Rabbi Tarfon used to say, it is not incumbent upon you to complete the task, but you are not exempt from undertaking it.”
