There have been attacks against three distinct groups of people which have not been reported by Main Stream Media. This is not a question of slanting facts, or making an error in facts. This is the real #FAKENEWS: the gross omission of facts; in this case, the gross omission of events that impact millions of people. Why does MSM refuse to report these events?
During a sermon at the Muslim Youth of Victoria in British Columbia, Sheikh Younus Kathrada said he viewed with “great sadness” his fellow Muslims’ casual treatment of the “false holiday.” “If a person were to commit every major sin — committing adultery, dealing with interest, lying, murder… If a person were to do all of those major sins, they are nothing compared to the sin of congratulating and greeting the non-Muslims on their false festivals.”
A Google search for the comments made by Sheikh Younus Kathrada proved futile.
A week ago, over Christmas, the Toronto Salaheddin Islamic Centre invited speakers to its conference who talked about killing Jews in online lectures and sermons.
Tawfeeq As-Sayegh’s sermon (originally in Arabic, published on January 24, 2009):
This [killing] is the solution for the Jews. Only killing them is the solution and exterminating them from the face of the earth in accordance to Hitler’s philosophy in case it was real.
Karim AbuZaid: “You know that we believe that the rock, the rock will call upon the believer, but look how it will call him: Ya Abdallah, Oh slave of Allah, come! Behind me is an enemy of Allah. The rock will help you to do this.” Note: Karim AbuZaid quoted a segment of the following hadith: “Abu Huraira reported Allahs Messenger as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: “Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.”
And then there is the attack against the LGBTQ2 community by the newly formed Islamic Party of Ontario. There was one article: one; by Tarkek Fatah, who feels he has been threatened by Jawed Anwar the leader of the Islamic Party of Ontario. Its political platform states: “The sexual relationship is only between men and women… Allah has created two genders: men and women… The concept of “gender identity” or “seven-colour gender” is a false concept.” Jawed Anwar, the founder of the Islamic Party of Ontario, reminded the LGBTQ community that Allah punished with death the people of Sodom and Gomorrah who practised homosexuality and LGBTQ lifestyle. He added: “History repeats [itself]. History may repeat [itself]”.
Main stream media is noticed by its absence. Not one media outlet from coast to coast to coast dared to report on these possible hate speech cases. It appears that all publishers, editors and journalists decided, in unison, that these stories are not news. Something is not well in the Canadian media. #FAKENEWS is more than making up stories, or twisting facts. Real #FAKENEWS is the omission of facts to promote a biased narrative.
Is it possible that extreme political correctness and/ or the irrational fear of being labeled Islamophobic is the reason for their silence? Or perhaps the Canadian media has sold its soul for some crumbs from the $595 million of federal support designated only to “trusted” media outlets?
