Pope Francis gave his Christmas speech for peace. First came his concerns for Syria. Then he turned his eye to the “Holy Land.” And said “Peace to women and men of the beloved Holy Land, the land chosen and favoured by God. May Israelis and Palestinians have the courage and the determination to write a new page of history, where hate and revenge give way to the will to build together a future of mutual understanding and harmony.”
He spoke about hate and revenge as if Jews were part of that behaviour. Moral relativism on the part of the Catholic Pope. Does he think that peace in the “Holy Land” will give Christians and Catholics safer access to Bethlehem? Does he not see what is happening in the moderate Islamic state of Turkey where Christians are persecuted? Does he not see the persecution of Christians all over the Muslim world?
Yet he does not stand up for the Jewish people and the Jewish state. He does not demand that Muslims all over the world acknowledge the Jewish state of Israel. He does not say that this land belongs to the Jews from time immemorial. He has so quickly forgotten the willful blindness of Pope Pius XII. He has forgotten the murder of 6 million Jews. His comments came a day after Barack Hussein Obama Amalek betrayed the Jewish people in favour of another intolerant Muslim state bent on killing the Jews. How do we know that Muslims want the end of Israel? Because they constantly call out “DEATH TO ISRAEL!”
This Pope is no different from Pius XII. Obama is no different from Hitler.
December 23, 2016, the UN Security Council blasted Israel with another resolution which declares the Western Wall as territory illegally occupied by Israel. East Jerusalem is occupied territory. Just a month away from the peaceful passing of the torch from the Democratic President to the in-coming Republican President, Obama did not veto the Bill as has been America’s policies. This resolution means Israel needs to return to her pre-1967 borders-that would be the little strip of land left after the Muslims attacked Israel in 1948 after refusing to acknowledge the right of a Jewish state on her legal and historical land.
Obama was not just a bystander. Oh no. This man does not do well when faced by strong people. Talk about thin-skin! He never got over Prime Minister Netanyahu coming to Congress and telling them that the Iran deal must not go through. Obama just couldn’t get over having the Prime Minister of Israel telling Americans something that did not agree with Obama’s views.
“We have rather ironclad information from sources in both the Arab world and internationally that this was a deliberate push by the United States and in fact they helped create the resolution in the first place,” David Keyes, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I think what we’re seeing is an abandonment of Israel, and an abandonment of a long-standing American policy,” he added.
Twenty-first century wilful blindness, following in the footsteps of the ignorantia affectata of Pope Pius XII and most of Europe and the Free World.
We must protect and defend ourselves. We must look to our God and our teachings and do the right thing for the Jewish people for we are the people who gave the world the incredible, miraculous ethic that makes it possible for a life bathed in freedom.
