I attended the All-Day National Teach-In by a group called the Canadians for the Rule of Law (CFTRL). It was originally planned to take place at a synagogue in Toronto. Not because the Board agreed or disagreed with the views of the organization, but for revenue and one might suppose free speech; a freedom particularly important to Jewish people. And when the group is called Canadians for the Rule of Law, how can that be bad?
Oh dear. For the anti-hate groups, this was a sin worse than murder. How do I know? Because Bernie Farber from the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, CAHN told me so by going out of his way to stop the conference. Because of his media attack, the security protocol at the venue, which was emailed to each person last Thursday, was similar to an airport-after a terror attack. Each person had to show their ticket and another piece of identification. Coats off, pockets were checked, hand held scanners were used to check each of us and our belongings were searched. In Canada, at a convention centre, just outside Toronto, Canada’s largest city and most diverse in the world.
Farber had sent an email to Rabbi Grover that unless Beth Tikvah condemned the event and removed themselves as a venue,” the media around it would not be positive.” The rabbi was so concerned because of the possible negative media exposure from Farber and his followers who bullied him that he removed the synagogue as a venue. With antisemitism on the rise in Canada, attacking a synagogue for being a venue for a conference about threats against the Rule of Law in Canada could lead to attacks on the rabbi, the synagogue and the congregants. Let me share with you the comments made about the Conference by Farber:
“In December, an organization called Canadians for the Rule of Law advertised a “teach-in” at Beth Tikvah synagogue in Toronto, ostensibly to discuss groups that allegedly threaten the rule of law in our country. As reported in The CJN, the group’s website stated: “There are organizations and ‘political tribes’ that threaten the rule of law in Canada. These groups include free speech disruptors and deniers on campuses, terrorist-funded Canadian jihadi organizers, Muslim Brotherhood public curriculum developers, hate speakers on social media, returning ISIL fighters, victimized me-first exceptionalism that overrides the survival of Canadian values, violence-promoting anti-Semites and deniers of religious pluralism and freedom.
“Coren ( Michael Coren) interviewed me for his article, in my role as the chair of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network. As I told him, I was disappointed “to see some otherwise respected players within Toronto’s Jewish leadership lending their good names to those who preach anti-Muslim hatred, homophobia and bigotry.”
I also contacted Beth Tikvah’s leadership, to give them a heads-up about the article and the justifiable concerns it would be expressing. Many others voiced similar sentiments to the synagogue. In the end, Beth Tikvah asked the event organizers to find another venue, due to “security concerns.”
So proud of himself. But the event found a new venue. Because of Farber’s attacks on the Conference special rules were implemented.
Here were the rules for those who wished to attend:
1)You must show up with this paper ticket and a valid photo identification
2) All attendees with pre-ordered tickets will be pre-screened before the event by Police services and and own private security company.
3) Please allow for enough time for a thorough two stage personal security screening at the door
4) No devices are permitted in any speaking hall, panel group or workshop session
5) Re-screening is mandatory for anyone who exits temporarily
6) Because of the sensitive discussion of lawfare cases and security files, no remote home view tickets will be sold for this program
7) You may be asked to turn off and/or check personal recording devices in order to enter certain confidential briefing sessionsIf a screening by the organizers gives cause for probable concern about you, your ticket will be invalidated in which case your fees will be reimbursed.
Anyone interrupting the event will be subject to Criminal Code citizens’ arrest and that person then will be immediately turned over to a police officer.
Muslims, Jews, and Christians attended the event.

Rachel May Weiser spoke about bankrupting terrorism one lawsuit at a time.
Tahir Gora, Canadian journalist, writer and socio-political activist; founder of Muslim Community Against Anti-Semitism and author of articles denouncing the growing Islamic radicalization in Canada.
John Carpay from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms spoke about Lawfare in Canada. This organization advances the human rights and constitutional freedoms of each and every Canadian through research, education and litigation to safeguard individual freedom and equality before the law.
Christine Douglass-Williams, a nine-time international award-winning journalist and television producer a past federally appointed Director with the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and a former appointee to the Office of Religious Freedom in Foreign Affairs was one of several people speaking about Terrorism and Public Safety:
Howard Rotberg, the man behind Mantua Books, the only publishing house in Canada representing Conservative authors and Daniel Bordman, the host of Uninterrupted with Daniel Bordman on TAGTV and author at The Post Millennial were two of the panelists who spoke about Propaganda in the Media; a major concern of mine.

This was the result of the self-anointed, anti-hate aficionado Bernie Farber, who has the gall to call out Jews for anti radical Islam statements. When Muslim Imams in Canada call for death to the Jews, I take that as hate. And based on Machiavelli, who taught if someone says they are going to kill you, believe them; I believe them.
This is the same Bernie Farber and his Canadian Anti-Hate Network who appeared to be deaf dumb and blind to this year’s annual Winter Conference that was held December 24, 2018 at the Salaheddin Islamic Centre where guest speakers are on record calling for the death of Jews. Here are some of the views of Salaheddin Islamic Centre shared on its website.
Islam prescribes chopping off the hands of the convicted robber. “As to the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands: a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power, full of wisdom.” (Quran 5:38) The point here is that the moment you implement this law the rate of theft will decline immediately. The potential robber would give it a serious thought before jeopardizing his limbs.
Islam prohibits the molestation and rape of women. It enjoins hijab and prescribes capital punishment for a convicted rapist…Dresses that expose more than they conceal, are an indirect temptation to the opposite sex for teasing, molestation and rape. The Quran rightly says that the hijab prevents women from being molested…if any man commits rape, he gets capital punishment. The question is, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same or will it decrease? Naturally it will decrease. Islamic Law gets results…
The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say “you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife.” If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs…
And where is this esteemed anti-hate group when it comes to hate shared in their Holy Books?
ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America) Canada, located at 391 Burnhamthorpe Rd., East, Oakville, ON, shares on its website the book “Riyad us Saliheen” (“The Gardens of the Righteous” رياض الصالحين) compiled by Imam Zakaruya Yahya Bin Sharaf An-Nawawi, a Sunni Shafi’ite jurist and hadith scholar who lived in 13th century. The book, shared by ICNA Canada, includes a modern commentary of the Quranic verses and the hadiths.
Here are some of the teachings.
“[Hadith] 866. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you; and when you meet any one of them on the road, force him to go to the narrowest part of it.” [Muslim].”
“Commentary: This Hadith prohibits Muslims from greeting non-Muslims first. It also tells us that when the road is crowded, we should use the middle of the road and let the non-Muslims use its sides. This Hadith shows the dignity of Muslims and the disgrace and humiliation of the non-Muslims.”
“[Hadith] 1820. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah(PBUH) said, “The Last Hour will not come until the Muslims fight against the Jews, until a Jew will hide himself behind a stone or a tree, and the stone or the tree will say: ‘O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him,’ but Al-Gharqad tree will not say so, for it is the tree of the Jews.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].”
“Commentary: Gharqad is a thorny plant which is well-known in the area of Palestine. Allah can bestow the power of speech to whatever thing He likes. When Allah wills, He will give mastery to the Muslims. He will help them even by means of plants and stones which will assist the Muslims against the Jews by informing them about the whereabouts of the Jews. The Jews have predominance over the Muslims in spite of the fact that they are a minority. But according to this true narration, the situation will definitely change before the Day of Resurrection, and the Muslims will dominate the Jews. Allah is the Master and Rubb of everything.”
Farber and his organization CAHN remain MIA. They are particularly blind to Muslims sharing hate for the west.
We have two choices. We can spar it out with words or end up using swords.
