Islam is far more than a religion. Islam is a culture. A patient culture. Islam as an ideology/culture once colonized most of Europe and North Africa-the first Caliphate was taken down at the end of the 15th century. And then a new caliphate formed. Another try at colonizing. The Ottoman Caliphate between 1517 and 1924. It was the last Sunni Islamic caliphate of the late medieval and the early modern era. ISIS is the most recent attempt to push Islam on the world, to try to colonize the west; the new world-well it is relatively new.
And why not? The West has tried to colonize other countries. Promote our values. And in many cases failed. Not everyone wants our Western Values; our western culture. Not everyone aspires to the values that all people are born with equal intrinsic value and that all life is sacred. Why should Islam behave differently? Why should Islam not want to spread its wings, share its culture? Again.
September 11, 2001 was the announcement.
Imams tell us Islam as a religion and an ideology is not compatible with the West, yet here we are aiding and abetting a value system that is diametrically opposed to ours. And we do it in the name of tolerance. We are prepared to tolerate the intolerable and commit suicide by democracy.
In Canada, Arabic is taught in public schools in Alberta. Arabic!

You see, in Edmonton we have a number of schools that are teaching Arabic, but in small towns it’s not in existence,” said Dean Sanduga, director of the Canadian Arab Friendship Association. “The Arabic bilingual program is the largest and fastest growing bilingual program in the Edmonton public schools. We’ve had the [bilingual] program for 35 years,” said Edmonton Public Schools trustee Cheryl Johner.

O Allah, destroy [take revenge of] the Jews, the Christians, the Crusaders, the hypocrites, the Shia [Shiite Muslims] and all their collaborators
Make conflicts among themselves
Create division and disunity in their ranks
Turn the misfortune upon them
O [Allah, You are] The Strong, O [Allah, You are] The Almighty
And:
Grant us the martyrdom in Your path when we are facing [the enemy], not turning back [from the battlefield], with Your mercy, O the Most Merciful
O Allah, give victory (help) the mujahideen everywhere
O Allah, make this month (Ramadan) a conquest for the mujahideen everywhere around the world, O Lord of the worlds.
In Saskatchewan, Muhammad Mustafa Mustaan preaches,
“I stand against the injustices happening because of the democracy, because of the capitalism, because of the invasion in our lands and because of the traitors and the rulers who we have on our lands who are brutal against us and who are the enemies.”
“In Islam, this is, the freedom of choice that you talk about, is not the way it is in a democracy, because democracy comes from a belief that God does not have any right in our daily life. We are the ones who choose it.”
“Democracy is nothing else but something which gives you the right to choose anything. The biggest shirk [Arabic term for idolatrous and heretical polytheism] is when you give your own self the right to choose whatever you want. So, democracy, in no terms, is compatible with Islam.”
We are told by leading Muslims that we are in a clash of cultures. Calls for the Ummah will not end across the pond. Yet here, in the land of Oz, we attack those who try to protect and defend our values-by name calling and bullying; “You Islamophobe you! How dare you criticize Islam?”
Islamophobia is not the irrational fear of Islam. Because it is rational to fear Islam in the west-its attitude toward women, gays, Christians, and in particular, Jews.
It is time to repeal Islamophobia-the fear of insulting Islam, and replace with Freedom of Speech.
