There are two standards in the world. One for all, another for the Jews.

In order for there to be peace in the Middle East, both sides must first agree on the definition of the term. As long as Israel defines peace as the absence of war, and the Arabs define peace as the absence of Israel, there can be no peace.
I had the honour of attending the Yom HaZikaron, Memorial Day Ceremony on the Mount of Olives in Israel, honouring soldiers who have died to protect Israel from invasion.
This year it was particularly solemn: October 7 and the hostages remain heavy in the heart. The first thing we were told was “in case of a siren, drop to the ground, and put your hands over your head.” In all my years, and I have lived many, I have never gone anywhere where I have been told what to do in case of a missile threat. Yet, for most, this was normal. In Israel, the sound of a siren, today, means run to a safe space when possible.
I knew about safe spaces on our campuses: for those who feel threatened. When Trump was elected there were safe spaces for students to cry. Today, if called by the wrong pronoun and feel unsafe, there is a safe space for you, too.
Safe spaces take on a whole new meaning in Israel. Walking down the street and you hear a siren, a warning of incoming missiles, there are signs directing you to the nearest safe space. Not close enough to a safe place, you lie down on the ground and cover your head with your hands. I thought it would be safe to go into a store. No, I was told. If the store has glass windows, it is not safe as you could be harmed by the splintering glass.
I learned about safe spaces when I was in the Gaza Envelope – the place of the BARBARIC Muslim attack on the Jews October 7. Just about to get back into our car, a siren went off and the soldier to whom we were speaking, a 23 year old female soldier screamed to me, run, run, run as she pointed to the bomb shelter by the road.
We saw the missiles fired and then we saw Israel’s response.
Despite the run for cover, I never felt unsafe anywhere in Israel. It is a proud, bustling, busy, growing country.
Sadly, Canadian and American youth have no understanding of the real meaning of a safe space. They have no idea how sheltered they are. I met soldiers all over Israel; many called Lone Soldiers, who returned to Israel to fight for her right to exist. And to me, they are still children, young, early 20’s, younger than one of my grandchildren; some wearing braces on their teeth, in charge of protecting Israel from destruction. And they are proud. Far from being children, Israelis become adults at a very early age.
I embraced so many of these special people, these brave Israelis and told them that we love them. That the diaspora stands with them. And they responded with gratitude. Go to Israel. Stand with these young warriors. Thank them. Hug them. Love them. Feed them.
I have many photos of these brave young people and I cherish them but decided not to share to protect them.
For millennia, the Jewish people have been under attack: exiled from our God-given land by forced exiles, pogroms, persecutions, prosecutions, final solutions. For many, fear led to a policy of duck and hide. Not anymore. Today we must be like our ancestors, the Maccabees, fighting for our inheritance: the Land: Eretz Yisrael. I saw brave men and women stand up for Israel. There is a new sense of confidence, assurance and power in Israel; especially in the young people. They are not afraid of misgendering and I doubt they even know the meaning of DEI. No more ducking and hiding, and no more appeasing. In Canada, we held signs that said “Our love is stronger than their hate.” So what? For too long we tried to be nice, turn the other check. Not anymore. We have taken back Pikuach Nefesh; an obligation for all Jews. We are obligated to save lives. Our lives. That commandment overrides all others.
In Israel, Pikuach Nefesh means we do not turn the other check when BARBARIANS try to take our God-given land, the land Abraham walked from end to end to end to end. We are the inheritors of the land through the millennia. And in 1920, with The San Remo Resolution: April 25, 1920, the world, yes, the nations of the world, declared, without equivocation, that the Jewish people are the First Nations, the Indigenous people of the land Israel in an area called Palestine. Yet, today, the world is trying to take away that God-given land and give it to the so-called “descendants” of the “plishtim,” the Philistines – the name which comes from the Hebrew (plishtim) that means “invaders” who now call themselves the “Palestinians.” These invaders want Israel. All of Israel: those who prevail with God.
There is a hunger, a thirst in Israel for victory. I met a young man newly returned from war. He asked, how was it possible for Israel to finish off five Arab countries attacking Israel at one time, in 6 days, and yet, here we are too many months later, still at war with Gaza – well Iran. There is an awakening. An understanding that Israel has the RIGHT to exist, on her God-given land; from the Gaza border through Judea/Samaria to to the river. The time has come to resurrect the values taught by the Maccabees, Meir Kahane and Jabotinsky. We must rely on God and ourselves and plan accordingly.
Israel must learn, the Jews must learn, that we are on our own. We have “friends.” But we have learned, again, during this war against the BARBARIANS, that we cannot rely on anyone, especially America, who in 1948, also abandoned us. The United Nations Security Council took a moment of silence to honour President Ebrahim Raisi, the Butcher of Iran, who died in a helicopter crash. The American Ambassador to the UN participated.
As Ben Shapiro noted,
“U.N. Security Council held no moment of silence for the 1,200 Israelis murdered by Iranian proxy Hamas”
The International Criminal Court made a moral equivalency between the barbaric Muslim Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, who sent monsters into Israel to rape, pillage, murder and burn Jewish civilians, and Benjamin Netanyahu who replied based on Pituach Nefesh. That’s like comparing hitler to Roosevelt and Churchill. Germany said it will abide by an International Criminal Court arrest warrant and detain Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should he step foot on German soil. Not surprised. Not much has changed. Hitler loved the Muslims. He loved their religion.
‘It’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion,” Hitler complained to his pet architect Albert Speer.
“Why did it have to be Christianity, with its meekness and flabbiness?” Islam was a Männerreligion—a “religion of men”—and hygienic too. The “soldiers of Islam” received a warrior’s heaven, “a real earthly paradise” with “houris” and “wine flowing.” This, Hitler argued, was much more suited to the “Germanic temperament” than the “Jewish filth and priestly twaddle” of Christianity.
Norway, Ireland and Spain have now recognized a Palestinian state. Now. After Hamas, with the aid of their Gazan civilians, had invaded Israel and butchered civilians. Israel’s 9/11.
This virtue signaling will back fire because they think it’s only the Jews.
A warning from Nadia Matar, co-chair of the Sovereignty Movement founded by Women in Green, whom I had the honour to meet in Israel; who stands with Kol Yisrael, all of Israel, which includes Judea/Samaria.
World-wide, we are witnessing Jew hatred at levels never anticipated – especially after the Holocaust. And that hatred is profound on university campuses. We forget at our own peril that Jew hatred is endemic, innate and systemic around the world.
During the Memorial Service for the Soldiers, there was a fly-over. It was cloudy at the time and I only saw one jet. ONE. And I thought at that moment that we are alone amongst the nations of the world.
THIS LAND IS OURS.

And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; and the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
The time has come for the Jews to stop turning the other cheek, remember Pikuach Nefesh: the right to eliminate an imminent threat; and be more like the followers of Jabotinsky and Kahane, than Peace Now. It is better and safer to be feared and respected than liked.
We, the Jewish people, must remember:
We bend the knee to no one but God.
