Canada’s PM Justin Traitor… I mean Trudeau
What kind of leader terminates Parliament, governance, in the middle of a crisis?
Well, Justin Trudeau, Canada’s esteemed Liberal PM, has prorogued Parliament during a time when his leadership is under question and a new leader is being sought; well, he didn’t realize he was no longer wanted; and, at the same time, America is threatening tariffs on Canada by February 1. Trudeau thought he would show off his cojones by ending Parliament with this threat:
“If the president does choose to proceed with tariffs on Canada, Canada will respond and everything is on the table.”
Great. Threatens Trump and then shuts down government.
Trudeau has more or less made himself a dictator in absentia. Well, he has been absent plenty of time during his term. He is a failed leader who will not accept his failure.
By suspending parliamentary activities until March 24, Justin Trudeau aims to buy time for a leadership race within his party. Justin Trudeau previously prorogued Parliament for a month in August 2020 during the WE charity scandal, when then-Conservative leader Andrew Scheer called him “spineless” and a “disgusting attempt to make Canadians forget about his corruption.” Well, at least Trudeau is consistent.
What kind of leader ends governing during a crisis?
This is the man.
In 2015, Trudeau declared that Canada had no core values. He declared that anyone could come to Canada and “anyone” did.
In 2015 he told the NY Times “There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada,” and consequently that “makes us the first post-national state.”
Really?
Yet we have a core identity based on core values in the preamble of the 1960 Canadian Bill of Rights which reads as follows:
The Parliament of Canada affirming that the Canadian Nation is founded upon principles that acknowledge the supremacy of God, the dignity and worth of the human person and the position of the family in a society of free men and free institutions; Affirming also that men and institutions remain free only when freedom is founded upon respect for moral and spiritual values and the rule of law;
And being desirous of enshrining these principles and the human rights and fundamental freedoms derived from them, in a Bill of Rights which shall reflect the respect of Parliament for its constitutional authority and which shall ensure the protection of these rights and freedoms in Canada.
Then in 1982 when the Canadian Constitution was repatriated from Britain the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms included the statement that “Canada is founded on principles that recognize the Supremacy of God and the rules of law.”
The inclusion of the supremacy of God in the preamble of the Charter came about at the time of the patriation of the Canadian Constitution by the Liberal government of Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau in 1982, Pierre Trudeau, Justin’s father, wrote about the Charter in his memoirs:
“Writers and poets have always searched for the Canadian identity; almost instinctively, Canadians have tended to say that they are French Canadians or English Canadians or Ukrainian Canadians or whatever, or simply new Canadians. But what is Canada itself? With the charter in place, we can now say that Canada is a society where all people are treated equal and where they share some fundamental values based upon freedom. The search for this Canadian identity, as much as my philosophical views, had led me to insist on the Charter (emphasis mine).”
Trudeau is a proud members of the World Economic Forum – the people who act as if they are running the world; sadly they have way too much influence. More than “half of Trudeau’s cabinet” are Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum: including Chrystia Freeland(now running for the Liberal leadership) and Jagmeet Singh.
This is the PM who invoked the Emergencies Act to put Canadians in jail for protesting over Covid regulations that interfered with their ability to work. He shut down bank accounts.
Our PM has declared his admiration for China’s dictatorship.
His love for China was revealed in 2016 when journalists uncovered a Chinese cash-for-access scheme in which Chinese interests could make large donations to meet Justin Trudeau in the homes of wealthy Chinese Canadians.
In 2024 Justin Trudeau testified in an inquiry after evidence emerged that China interfered in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian elections by illicitly subsidizing candidates it thought were sympathetic to Beijing’s interests. Seems lawmakers in Canada’s parliament may have helped foreign actors meddle in political campaigns and leadership races. “The national security committee indicates there are members of this House that have knowingly worked for foreign hostile governments.” Pierre Poilievre said:
“Canadians have a right to know who and what is the information — who are they?”
China’s malfeasance.
China could not hope for a better ally than Justin Trudeau.
Well, like father like son. Justin comes by his love of China naturally. In 1973, his father Pierre Trudeau was the first Prime Minister to visit the People’s Republic of China, where he met with Mao Zedong. In 1984, the elder Trudeau invited Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang to address the Canadian Parliament.
This is not the first time Trudeau has been unethical. Trudeau has already been found guilty of accepting a paid vacation on a luxury island, and for his involvement in the SNC-Lavalin Corruption Scandal. He also awarded the WE Charity Foundation a nearly $1B sole-sourced contract to administer a now-cancelled student volunteer program. WE has very close ties to the Trudeau family, as well as to many members of the Liberal cabinet and high-ranking staff. Among other connections, the Prime Minister’s wife is a “WE Ambassador”, while his brother and mother have both spoken at WE events.
He calls out racists while dressing in black face.
He is probably the most unethical PM in Canada’s history.
Canada is not prepared for such a “leader.”
Canada needs laws with which we can remove a failed leader. When you cannot remove a failed leader, you can end up with a traitor.
