In the latter half of the 20th century there was a newsman from Buffalo, New York, Irv Weinstein, who ended his newscast with “It’s 11 o’clock, Do you know where your children are?” Perhaps we need to amend that to “Do you know where your children are most of the day?” Who are their friends? What do they do; where do they go? Parents of children of all colours need to have that information to keep their children safe.
We can all agree: Black Lives Matter.
But…
If Black Lives really mattered, parents would be on the street demanding that their children no longer be sacrificed in gang related shootings and would never support the Marxist call to anarchy with calls for defunding the police, the very people meant to protect your babies.
Where is the anger, the protests, over these deaths?
Eleven people were killed, including four children, and 67 others were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Father’s Day weekend.

On the July 4 weekend a 7-year-old girl playing with children in Chicago was shot in the head; an 8-year-old Atlanta girl riding with her mother and an 11-year-old boy running to get a phone charger in Washington, D.C. were shot. Another Chicago shooting left a 14-year-old dead.
Chicago Mayor Lightfoot, in a series of tweets, lamented another child “whose hopes and dreams were ended by the barrel of a gun.” Whose gun? She asked anyone with information to come forward.
“As a city we must wrap our arms around our youth so they understand there’s a future for them that isn’t wrapped up in gun violence,” she tweeted. Yet she promotes the defunding of police. Is this what black parents want?

Secoriea Turner, Atlanta, 8 years old, shot near the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was killed last month.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms “We’re fighting the enemy within when we are shooting each other up in our streets.” “We’ve had over 75 shootings in the city over the past several weeks,” Bottoms said. “You can’t blame that on (the Atlanta Police Department).”
If Black Lives really mattered looting and burning would not be tolerated.
If Black Lives really mattered they would put an end to unfettered abortion which has killed 19 million black babies since 1973. Abortion was promoted by white Margaret Sanger, founder of the Birth Control League (the future Planned Parenthood).
If Black Lives really mattered men, women and children would be in the streets demanding that the schools open in September.
If Black Lives really mattered parents would teach their children the importance of free will, moral agency, the right and obligation to choose wisely, to be the author of one’s life, not the recipient of it.
If Black Lives really mattered Jason D. Hill’s book “We have Overcome” would be on everyone’s reading list instead of books about White Privilege.
If Black Lives really mattered men would marry women before having children with them because children need a father in the house.
If Black Lives really mattered they would protest against Marxism and socialism and stand with Harriet Tubman who declared “Give me liberty or death” as she helped slaves escape to Canada.
If Black Lives really mattered they would listen to Candace Owens and Thomas Sowell rather than Louis Farrakhan. Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam who declares Jews “have infected the whole world with poison and deceit” and Judaism is a “system of tricks and lies.” Farrakhan claims that it is the “Satanic Jews who have infected the whole world with poison and deceit.” He has praised Hitler and referred to Jews as “termites.” Brings back memories of Nazism.
If Black Lives really mattered their well-paid sports heroes and celebrities, like Ice Cube, DeSean Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Nick Cannon would work to help lift them up instead of attacking and blaming the Jewish people, or any other group, for their ills. Or my favourite; declaring that black people are the real Israelites – not the Jews!
If BLM really cared about Black Lives they would not spend so much time attacking white people:
A co-founder of the Black Lives Matter chapter in Toronto wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post that “white people are a genetic defect of blackness.”
“Whiteness is not humxness,” wrote Yusra Khogali in 2016. “in fact, white skin is sub-humxn.”
And then Nick Cannon just confirmed her statements about skin colour — “And I’m going to say this carefully,” he begins — to allege that people who lack sufficient melanin are “a little less.” Those without dark skin have a “deficiency” that historically forced them to act out of fear and commit acts of violence to survive, he said. “They had to be savages,” Cannon said, adding that he was referring to “Jewish people, white people, Europeans,” among others.
I quote Charles Barkley:
“I’m never gonna accept it, and I’m asking you guys, I’m begging you guys, man, you guys are famous, you’ve got a platform. We’ve gotta do better, man. I want allies. I don’t want to alienate anybody and to take shots at the Jewish race, the white race. I just don’t like it ’cause it’s not right and I had to call them on it ’cause it’s really — it’s really been on my heart.”
And if Black Lives really mattered they would never teach that “white culture” is bad.
The National Museum of African American History & Culture wants to make you aware of certain signs of whiteness: Individualism, hard work, objectivity, the nuclear family, progress, respect for authority, delayed gratification, more. (via @RpwWilliams)
Certain signs of whiteness also include promoting the scientific method. What?

And since white people still hold most of the institutional power in America, we have all internalized some aspects of white culture-including people of colour.”
Who comes up with these ideologies? And here I thought these were the values of America and all Americans, as people from all over the world, every race, colour, creed, religion and sexual orientation try to get to America to be free “to be” because of these values. I don’t know how they came to be “just white” rather than universal, as set out in the Constitution.
If Black Lives really mattered these values would be their values, too.
